Since I enjoy cooking and eating good food, I somehow found my way to Green Man Gourmet in Avondale. I guess I just can’t resist a gourmet shop. Green Man Gourmet is one of those interesting stores where you can spend hours just browsing. They have spices from all over the world and lots of different types of salt. The best thing is that all their spices and salts are placed on glass jars and you can open and smell every one of them. Spend some time in the store, and I can guarantee that you will leave with a new supply of spices. The owner, Pete Eldridge is so knowledgeable, both him and his business partner Dave will spend time with their customers and help them find what they are looking for.
Usually the store also has wine and cheese tastings or other events on the weekend. Check their website or facebook page for more information.
