We are looking for people who are interested in selling advertising & sponsorship to our TV show and our website. This job is perfect for somebody who already has sold print advertising or similar in the past. This is a commission-based sales position.

Online Writers/Journalist
To write stories for our website and do phone interviews for our podcast. You need to be an excellent writer, good at research, not afraid to pick up the phone to ask questions to get the facts straight. You might also occasionally be asked to help write a post using audio or video provided by us.
This position is perfect for someone who needs to build a portfolio of published articles and credits. This is a good way to start working on the team. This is an unpaid position with flexible schedule. Most of your work can be done from your home or office, but if you prefer you are welcome to come into our office to work.
We are also looking for writers/journalists who specialize in music, arts & culture, entertainment or other topics who want to contribute articles on a regular monthly schedule.

Editorial Assistant – intern
Looking for someone who wants to come into the office or studio 1/2 day – 1 day per week [usually Tuesdays] to help organize content for the TV show, website and podcast. You need to be good at writing and proof reading, and familiar with the internet and computers. Most important, have lots of energy and be willing to learn new things.
Useful skills:
- You can write a short blog post from an audio interview, press release or video story.
- Familiarity with posting to wordpress blogs, facebook pages, twitter is a plus.
- If you are familiar with uploading video to youtube, that’s great.
- Extra plus if you have smart phone & laptop available to you.

Event Coordinator
We are planning events for I Know Jax in Jacksonville for the fall. Your main job would be to help coordinate these events and be the point of contact for vendors, participants and production team. The events usually take place on weekends or weeknights. We are planning to have 1-2 events per month.
The Event Coordinator is our on-site representative for the TV show, the go-to person for the event. You would also assist us with planning, scheduling, marketing and promotion of the event. Most of your work can be done from home, but sometimes you will need to go meet with vendors, check locations or come to planning meetings.
We are looking for somebody who is a self-starter. You need to be a good communicator and problem-solver. You also need to have a cell phone and be computer and social media savvy. Your schedule will be flexible and we will do our best to work around your availability. We estimate that you would need to work 1-2 hours per week from home plus work the event day or evening. We are looking for somebody who is very organized and who over time wants to work their way into a leadership role for all our events.
Extra plus points if you have past experience with:
- event organization for non-profit, or for profit organization
- fundraising
- advertising or marketing
- promotion; writing press releases, pitching stories etc.
- social media promotion
To start out with, this is an unpaid position, but we are hoping to be able to turn this into a permanent paid position for the right person.
